PB Varsity Football Dominates Kennedy

On Friday Night, the PB Varsity Football Team dominated Kennedy 47-7 to remain undefeated in this young season. Ivan Nadi had 2 touchdowns in the win. Nadi said “it feels great to score 2 touchdowns against any team.” The Panther D dominated in the first half giving up no points. Mike Collins scored off a fumble recovery for a touchdown and that made the game well out of reach for Kennedy. Coach Mike Nesmith was pleased with team performance and said “this is a good win for our football team and it builds our confidence in the next game against Blair.” Kennedy has had a tough season and Coach Dan Makosy said “that we are fighting tooth and nail to get that first win and it wasn’t to be against Paint Branch. Paint Branch has been impressive so far this season with an impressive 4-0 but it’s only going to get tougher from now on with Blair, next week, Sherwood, and Quince Orchard still left on PB schedule. Kennedy still has games against Seneca Valley and Sherwood. PB has maybe the best quarterback in the county in Armani Cebellos, who is passing for 1,176 yards the guy could throw for 3,000 yards this year.  PB scored 47 points in the first half against Kennedy the game was over at halftime and the second half had a running clock. But the first play of the game Armani Cebellos connected with Ivan Nadi with a 58 yard touchdown to go up 7-0 against Kennedy. Then Armani Cebllos connected with Ivan Nadi with a 13 yard touchdown to put the Panthers up 14-0. The game was out of reach by PB just dominating the first half and cruising to a win. This is the 3rd straight season that the panthers started the season 4-0 and they hope this year they can become state champions. But this is a game that PB was expected to win over Kennedy because Kennedy has a low record in MOCO football and it looks like they are going to have a short 10-week season. Can this team win more than 2 games this year and least fight for a playoff spot in the 4A or are they going to have and 0-10 season? We will see. This season for PB could be a turning point to the best season in school history. They could be a team that nobody wants to play in the 4A playoffs in November.  This could be the year for Paint Branch. This PB football team could win its first state championship since 1975, which would be in outstanding accomplishment for the school.
