On October 20th, Paint Branch High School’s Varsity Boys’ Soccer Team played its last home soccer game against Northwood High School.

The Panthers looked forward to earning a victory against the Gladiators but would have settled for a good battle to finish the season. Unfortunately, the Panthers were not able to earn the win and finished the matchup tied at 0-0.

It was a hard-fought game by both teams. In the first half, the Gladiators had many good opportunities to make a goal, but they were not able to break the ice. On Northwood’s side, the players came in with a strong and peppy energy. On Paint Branch’s side, the team had very good team work and good communication with each other.

In the second half, the Panthers had many good opportunities to make a goal but, with the Gladiators surrounding each player, it was very difficult for the Panthers to move and kick each other the ball. Many attempts to make goals were made by the Panthers but unfortunately, none were made.

Even after adding 20 extra minutes, neither team was able to make any goals and both had to walk away, settling for the tie.
