After the success of Spider-Man Homecoming, many fans like me were expecting another great Spider-Man movie to come out soon. Fortunately, our dream came true in this spin-off of the Spider-Man series.

Spider-Man into the Spider-Verse came out on December 14 and received a 9/10 on IGN, 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, and 87% on Metacritic. With a beautiful art style, an engaging story, and a cast of amazing actors, this Spider-Man movie is a one of a kind.

Spider-Man into the Spider-Verse has a unique art style that captures the look and feel of a comic book. With its bright colors, 3D filter, and paper-like textures, it is like you have been transported right in a comic book. The story essentially follows the traditional, cookie-cutter superhero origin, but with an interesting twist. Instead of telling the story of one Spider-Man, it tells the story of seven. The main character, Miles Morales, voiced by Shameik Moore, is a relatable and likable protagonist who is joined by an entertaining supporting cast, especially the other six versions of Spider-Man, who all have the same backstory but unique personalities.

The movie manages to combine a serious message with being very funny. I managed to shed a tear and almost died from laughter. This movie is perfect for people who are not big fans of Marvel as it doesn’t spend so much time on elements that the other versions do. The main reason this film may be more popular with non-Marvel fans is that it manages to tell the story of Spider-Man in quick and a fun way.

The only thing that is lacking was more screen time for all six Spider-Men. I really wanted to see the group interact more in the movie.

The main cast is also strong with the primary antagonist, Kingpin, voiced by Liev Schreiber, working nicely as the villain. Since he is new, most people probably won’t know him that well, but he is an entertaining villain and he has an almost touching story that helps the viewer better understand where he’s coming from. Overall, Spider-Man into the Spider-Verse is an amazing movie. It’s perfect for the whole family and entertaining for both Marvel fans and non-fans. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to watch a fun superhero movie.
