What's your favorite time of day and why? “My favorite time of day, hmm I feel like it depends on the season. I feel like I like and appreciate early mornings when I don't have to go to school or have anything to do early. That's when I feel at peace, I know cleaning on my own time,watching netflix, playing sims, you know just vibing. I like when my house is quiet. I also like late nights when nobody is awake and I can just do my own thing. Because my house is usually always lived in, having a big family.”
So do you prefer being around people or not being around people honestly? “In general I like being around people, like I definitely do like being around people because I’m a social butterfly so I like going to parties, I like sociallizing and I appreciate the social scene a lot. But I also went through a lot of changes last year where now it's like I be enjoying my own company a lot more. Like I be chilling by myself and I feel like that’s good because before I always felt like I needed to be around someone. Which you know, I still like to get td and hangout with people and all that, but I also just be chilling by myself like it’s vibes.
What are you most excited about these days? “These days I’m most excited about my looks. Like just doing different looks, my outfits, my hair, my makeup. I’m also just excited about different things I have going on like the internships I have, and just planning for the future. Like seeing things I want to come to pass happen, taking those steps. These are fashion internships and that's what I want to do in the future. Be in the fashion, modeling industry designing my own clothes and modeling not just mine but renowned brands.
If you had your own crystal ball what does the future hold for you? “If I held my own crystal ball my future definitely holds, like a lot of success. Not just in the way like how the world sees success but what feels like success to me. To see me pushing myself into different things. Seeing myself branch out, like ideas in my head being what I’m actually doing.
What inspires you to branch out? “What inspires me to branch out is really myself. Just like I was saying just going through a lot of changes where I used to see change as such a negative thing because I didn’t really grow up experiencing the normal “stable” so I really used to hate change. Now change I just take it as it’s cool you know like things are gonna change and I’m excited to see it.
What makes you feel like yourself the most? “I feel like myself the most when I’m just vibing or when I’m dancing. Or when I’m with my plants :) That makes me feel like myself the most. Or when I’m with my siblings or like my family and friends , even though they be blowing me when it’s vibes. That makes me feel like myself the most.
What are 3 things you can’t live without? “ I can't live without my friends and family because like I would be bored, who would I be td with ? I can't live without my phone because there's just so much that I have to do with my phone. And I definitely can’t live without my essentials like I always gotta come with the looks, that's part of me.
Give 5 words to describe your whole entire character: Hmmm I would say you can give some words because if yall dont know this is one of my bestfriends Jordane interviewing me. A word I would use to describe myself is definitely confident. Jordane: Unique is a clique so I would say outlawed because you do things that people would never think to do, and when they see you do it it’s like it becomes a thing. I would say another word to describe me is unfiltered in the words of my journalism teacher lol. Jordane can vouch for that liek I just tell it what it is, I just say what it is. That's 3 words so far. Jordane: straightforward, you were never the type to sugar code. You are very this is what I want, this is what I need, this is what I’m gonna do. A not beating around the bush type. Bye someone said I’m sassy so that’ll be my next pick. Jordane: very, but you always mean well. I just don't let anybody play with me, like I be chillin but you're not about to play in my face.
What's your favorite clothing Item you own? “My favorite clothing item I own? This is CRAZY. I would say right now one of my favorite pieces is this vintage denim baby phat halter top, made of like different denim cutouts out together. It’s just real hard especially styling it with more denim.
What's inspiring you in life right now? “I feel like what's inspiring me in life right now is just all the stuff I wanna do in the future because I’m gonna see it through.
What is the best advice you have given yourself in the past 6 months? “ One of them is definitely , “the world doesn't stop for a broken heart.” Not in just the way of relationships but just like bad stuff happening to you or things happening to you like the world is not gonna stop. And that's not to say that you shouldn’t show yourself sympathy . I definitely believe in like crying and feeling things out. But I just don’t think you should let yourself stay down like you're gonna throw everything away, like I can’t let myself do that. That’s definitely some good advice I’ve given myself and also just to “free it”. Bruh if something is stressing you too much and really taking a toll on you if you can I say free it. Like you shouldn’t be having to put up with that and you can’t be letting stuff bring you down like that. So free it.
Are you confrontational? “I would say I am confrontational because I’m just gonna speak like, some of my friends are more passive but they know I’ll always be the one to say something.
Lastly, in yourself what are you most proud of? “Aww this is sentimental, in myself I’d say I’m most proud of my growth. I am just so proud of myself, and sometimes I just remind myself of that because I feel like that's what a lot of people, myself included need to hear.
