Bieber & Cyrus: Why the hate?
In the past few months, Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus have pretty much become the most hated teens on the face of this planet. This hate stems from their respective wild actions, such as drunk driving and attempting the “twerk” dance. The two have become infamous for doing wild things in the past few months. People are taking to social media outlets to express their hate on these two teen pop stars. One can hardly go on Twitter without seeing a tweet, dissing one of the two saying things like “Miley is so ugly, why does she do this?’ or “Bieber is a menace to society!”
My goodness people calm down! You have absolutely no idea who they are or what they are about, so judging from behind your phone or computer screen is absurdly unjustified. People nowadays are so damn hypocritical, I can’t even tell you how many times I have heard people insult the pair, but I know that that same person does the same or similar things. I mean really, this is ridiculous. People talking about Miley being nasty for twerking, but those same people go to parties and do the same thing! On top of this, the hate is only directed at these two, even though many pop/rap stars do the exact same things. I have seen Beyoncé come out on stage in an outfit that leaves little or nothing to the imagination, and it leaves people clapping and saying how beautiful she is. Miley does it and all of a sudden she is this, that and the other thing.
This also happens with Bieber: when people listen to rappers talking about drugs, money, and women, it is considered cool and when Bieber actually does it, he is a menace to society? Come on people; stop discriminating against him or Miley Cyrus them specifically for no good reason at all.
This hate doesn’t only come from kids, though it also comes from parents. The adults may have a little more reason to hate these pop stars, however I would bet a pretty penny that a lot of these parents’ kids are doing the same thing behind their backs. Focus on disciplining your kids before you try to insult a young adult whom you have never even met before.
Look, I am not even a fan of either of these two stars, so I am speaking from a neutral position. I’m not supporting their actions either, I am just saying to let them be and chill out a little because judging someone you don’t even know is just plain dumb. They are young and everybody makes mistakes, so give them some time to live out their better days and have fun before you hold them to full grown adult standards.
