Senior Banquet Signals The End Of Senior Year
On Thursday, March 27, Paint Branch seniors gathered from 6:30-10:00 PM at the Sheraton Hotel in Beltsville, MD for a heavily anticipated event – Senior Banquet.
The festivities started at 6:30, though students started arriving in larger groups closer to 7:00. After checking in at the first table, seniors picked up masquerade masks, choosing from one of four different colors, before entering the main room. Students picked tables, grabbed their friends and immersed themselves in conversation before returning to the main hall for dinner.
The buffet-style meal included fried chicken, meatballs, potatoes, macaroni & cheese, corn, salad and bread. After sitting down to a filling meal, the Class of 2014 took the opportunity to chitchat with friends from other tables. A quick glance around the room revealed a venue that sparkled with glitzy dresses, vibrant ties and positive vibes from the spirited seniors.
Before long, the DJ kicked up the music, playing favorites from the past four years, which ultimately had everyone on their feet. The dance floor hummed with excited Panthers, happy to mingle and get groovy. Some found their way back to the main hall for a dessert of cookies, brownies, coffee and tea, while others remained on the dance floor.
As 10:00 PM rolled around, the night – and one more culminating event — came to an end. Senior Banquet 2014 was filled with lots of laughter, priceless selfies, PB pride, good food and even better company.
