The New England Patriots' Greatest Victory

Wow. This has to be the only thing most football fans can say about Super Bowl 51. Whether you are a New England Patriot fan or not, this game has to go down in history as one of the greatest championship games in league history. It certainly ranks up there as one of the Patriots’ greatest wins ever.

The Patriots’ lack of luck in scoring – or maybe it was the strong and fast Atlanta defense – no touchdowns in the first three quarters, left most fans sure that the game was over. Little did anyone know that the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history was just about to happen as New England scored a field goal and two touchdowns in the final quarter to send the game into overtime for the first time in Super Bowl history. .

Under tremendous pressure, quarterback Tom Brady did not play his best early, but once the middle of the third quarter came around Brady put on his game face. The result of the game became one of the greatest victories in the history of the NFL. The comeback from the Patriots was incredible and unexpected as they sat in a 28-9 hole entering the final quarter. Many did not think they could pull it off.

Could this be the last Super Bowl for Brady? Probably not as when the game finished and the champions were reunited with their loved ones. According to SiriusXM NFL Radio, after the game Brady’s wife, Gisele Bündchen, referred to this as possibly being his last game and that he should retire to which Brady responded that he is having too much fun to quit now. These were words of joy for Pats fans who can only hope that they are stuck with their star quarterback for as long as he is willing to play.
