The Great Holiday Movie Debate

Warm Up with The two best Holiday Movies of All time Which one Will you pick?

Looking for a holiday movie to watch and snuggle up under your warm blanket during those cold wintry night? Well you can’t go wrong with the two best children’s holiday classic movies of all time: Home Alone and The Polar Express.

Which one should you play first you may ask? Well The Polar Express is an animated children’s movie about a boy who has trouble believing in Christmas miracles such as Santa Claus. One night he boards this train that takes him to the North Pole to meet Santa, but in order for him to actually see Mr. Claus he must learn to believe in Christmas miracles and the spirit of Christmas Past. This movie defines the true meaning of Christmas and really engages the audience, especially children. Tom Hanks, who plays the conductor, is a very good actor and all the animated character voices are very well displayed and correlated with the characters. This movie might be a little old but the plot, the settings, and all the characters are very well put together and no matter how many times you watch it will always make you feel like a kid again.

Home Alone, on the other hand has some interesting aspects and who didn’t like causing some mischief when they were children, especially when you can fool your parents and get away with things? The main character, Kevin (Macauley Caulkin) lives in a big family and is always getting pushed around and in trouble. However, one day as the whole family takes a vacation to Paris for the holidays accidentally leaving Kevin home alone, Kevin must fight to protect his house from two sneaky burglars. Home Alone is filled with comedy, laughter, warmth, and on the edge scenes that I would definitely recommend watching with the whole family. No doubt Home Alone is the best movie out there to watch on the holidays as a family.
