PBHS Edge Pigskin Podcast – NFL Week 12
November 24, 2021
“It’s just a game.”
While Podcaster Aj feels this way after several rough outings from his Seattle Seahawks, for others – including this week’s special guest, Coach Smith – football is life! (even for “artists” like Odell Beckham, Jr.)
So, let’s take a look at week 12 in the NFL – a week that comes on the heels of one of the more surprising weeks of the season.
Last week brought some upsets and solidified some names such as Colts running back Jonathan Taylor, who scored 5 touchdowns and passed Derrick Henry and Nick Chubb for the lead in rushing yards. Another big topic is Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, who has something to be upset about for the first time in his tenure as Seattle’s head coach. Last week, Carroll watched as backup quarterback Colt McCoy led the Arizona Cardinals to a 23-13 victory that left his team at just 3-7. Other big stories were Taylor Heinicke and Washington spoiling Cam Newton’s first start as a Carolina Panther in over a year, Austin Ekeler scoring 4 touchdowns against Mr. Ellis’ Pittsburgh Steelers, the New England Patriots taking the lead in their division after a dominant 25-0 win over the Falcons, and the reinforced LA Rams yet to win a game with their new players.
So, sit back and take a listen as our Pigskin Podcasters talk about some of this week’s key matchups on the PBHS Edge Pigskin Podcast.
