Alicia McLeod, Staff Writer

Have you ever met a person whose outer character fits their inner character? If not, you should meet Alicia McLeod, a Paint Branch senior, who fits this description perfectly.

Alicia is a gorgeous high school student who calls herself an introvert. She grew up as an only child with her mom, whom she sees as a diligent worker.

Here at PB, Alicia is involved in the theater where she works with tech, which seems a good fit for Alicia’s strong and subtle personality. Although shy, she is not lackadaisical. For Alicia,  senior year is an opportunity to graduate high school and experience life outside PB’s walls. While excited about what wonders high school offers, Alicia states that prom, “..is not [her] scene.” While this sentiment might seem strange to some,  it’s apparent that Alicia knows who she is, and she is fine with that.

When the goal-oriented Alicia has spare time, she likes to go to a park near her apartment complex. She sits on the swing set, which she says is relaxing and highly nostalgic. As this senior readies for college, one thing she is sure of is that she wants to be close to home,  though not too close to home because “[she] doesn’t want her parents popping up on her.” She adds that she wants to be somewhat close because “[she] and [her mother] will be moving into [their] first home.”

Alicia is an open-hearted and considerate person, which is evident in her actions. When the day is up, Alicia goes home and is by herself. She waits for her family to come home. Then a new day starts. Sometimes the new days present new things and sometimes they don’t.
