The cold breeze and different color leaves of fall are upon us, which leads to the common topic of what people’s favorite season is. Some say summer for the sun, but for Paint Branch senior Nathan Bui, winter is his favorite season because it’s a time when it is cold, and he can dress up for the cold winter days while still showing his creativity and having the best style.
When it comes to visiting his favorite place, Nathan’s love for winter hibernates to sun, sand, and water. The crystal-clear blue waters make you never see an ocean the same again, the huts in the middle of the island bring peace to the mind. All of these qualities come together in Nathan’s favorite vacation spot, the Maldives.
If there were one song that Nathan could listen to that would put him in the best mood at any time, it would be “Oblivion” by Grimes. If he could have a tattoo, Nathan says it could be a long fish running down his spine. He likes the idea of a design that stretches down his back while still being elegant.
Nathan has had some unique experiences, like trying frog for the first time, but he draws the line at one specific animal. “Something I refuse to eat is a dog,” Nathan says.
Family plays a big role in Nathan’s life. He admires the life of his older brother so much that if given the chance, he would switch lives with him for a day. “ I think he has a very nice life, and he’s at college and everything, so I think that’s fun.” Nathan shares.
As for his food opinions, Nathan firmly believes pineapple does belong on pizza, even though many people might disagree. If he could learn any other language in the world, he would choose French.
Nathan’s love for creativity, his admiration for family, and his unique sense of humor all come through. Whether it’s tropical vacations, winter fashion, or pizza debates, Nathan brings his personality into everything he does.
