Eva Silva, Staff Writer
As the school year gets underway, Paint Branch senior Eva Silva stands out for her curiosity and big goals for the future. With graduation only about 180 days away and many more summers ahead, Eva holds her aspirations of traveling to new places, learning new languages, and gaining new experiences close to her heart.
Travel is a huge part of Eva’s vision for the future. Her favorite vacation so far has been traveling to Mexico, but her dream destination is Brazil. She doesn’t just want to visit, as she confesses that a language she’d like to master is Portuguese. As for why, Eva says, “It’s similar to Spanish, so it would be a jumpstart to begin learning.”
When asked what animal best represents her, Eva chooses a cat. To her, she resonates best with them as they’re “reserved and observant.”
A humorous side of Eva also shows through in small ways, such as when given the choice between various animals. She chooses dolphins over koalas and puppies over kittens, without hesitation. These answers best highlight her love of fun and energy, as both dolphins and puppies are known for their sporadic energies. Don’t expect her to warm up to neon colors anytime soon, as she admits that these are her least favorite.
Even in her responses to everyday questions, Eva’s fun personality shows through. She hopes to get a tattoo on her hand someday, though she hasn’t decided on the design. She even jokes that her favorite curse word starts with a “B,” which a majority of us can agree on.
