Jonathan Imonide, Staff Writer

Jonathan Imonide is a senior at Paint Branch who is looking forward to heading off to college.  Jonathan has things that are important  in his life. Most important is his mom because of the “amount of sacrifices she made for me to have the great life that I am living right now,” Jonathan  says. “ to be comfortable and successful in my works”

Jonathan does not speak a language other than English, though  his parents speak two  languages,  Yoruba and English. Yoruba is one of the many languages in Nigeria. The reason he loves eating jollof rice is because he grew up eating it and got used to it because his mother makes it most of the time.

Jonathan wants to go to the University of Maryland-Baltimore County (UMBC) because he says “it’s in the state and his family near him”  which is important to him, lives in Maryland, which is where UMBC is. He wants to be an engineer  because “they get paid good money.”

The  most valuable thing Jonathan owns is a car, a Lexus,  which he enjoys because it is comfortable and one of the safest cars to drive. He said it cost him $30k and that’s the most valuable thing he has because he worked really hard to get it.

Jonathan said he loves PB because of the class of 2025 and the teachers. He also notes that  the environment is good and he loves playing sports here. He also enjoys watching and playing football because he grew up playing football and fell in love with it. He also said “how supportive the coaches are and the students in the school building.”
