I attended an assembly during 4th period (journalism) in which several Black authors were talking about experiences in their lives. It was really inspiring and some parts were really funny! I remember Lisa McNair talking about meeting President Obama along with members of her family. The way she described the whole interaction was one of the highlights of the assembly, and her story really has inspired me to branch out on what I’m going to write about next for journalism!
