If you are a user of creative writing Websites such as the popular online forum Wattpad, you’ve probably experienced the frustration of always seeing the same posters, which leaves you searching for new material. If this sounds like you, perhaps Quotev is your answer.

Like I mentioned in a previous article, Wattpad is a place where you can be yourself through your writing. Wattpad has 22 categories such as fan fiction, drama, thriller/ mystery, and more. Wattpad also has a separate section for stories that are “Hot,” “New,” “Undiscovered,” and “Completed.” Wattpad allows you to vote for your favorite stories by chapter, and you can also dedicate your stories to anybody you want. The “Wattys” and the “Wattpad Prize” are two contests that you can enter on the site and have your story be the top story for people to read. Writers get an award with a letter, congratulating them and basically stating their story was great.

Quotev has 14 categories, which are similar to the ones on Wattpad. Quotev is best known for fan fiction. Quotev also has a separate section for popular and new stories, so when you click a category, it has two sides. If you don’t feel like reading or writing stories, Quotev allows you to create or take quizzes. The quizzes are split into categories such as celebrities and fame, music, books, movies, video games, TV, career and goals, and many more. Quotev lets you favorite any stories or quizzes you like and follow the author of that story. Quotev also has groups that you can join or create about your favorite celebrity, movie, book, TV show, or anything you want to rant on about.

Quotev and Wattpad are not competitive with each other, since Wattpad is known for original work, and Quotev is known for fan fiction. Both sites give you many options to choose from. If you want to write and take quizzes, then maybe Qoutev is the one for you. However, if you want to just write, then Wattpad is for you. Either way, either site, you can get what you want.
