Bethel Gedihun, Staff Writer
Have you ever been bored out of your mind? You know, one of those days where you find yourself – perhaps on the weekend or during summer – just tired of doing the same thing over and over again?
Paint Branch sophomore Bethel Gedihun is a bright and introverted person who can get a great conversation going. She is also an aspiring artist and writing student, so being bored is a state of mind to her that means a person has a lack of interest in everything. Bethel was in this state of mind when she found art and writing, which occupies her time until this day. Of this she notes, “over time, I guess I was bored and I just see paper so I write.”
Bethel has a bright future ahead of her and would like that future to be at Howard or Harvard University, which are great picks. The best of luck to her! She says, “I’d like to major in writing. Becoming a journalist, if not a photojournalist, would be cool!”
In terms of Bethel’s lifestyle, she lives a very “chill” life with her weekends filled with sleeping in and reading. She’s a “great cook,” able to make her famous salad and toast; and she has an exquisite taste for jelly beans, which are her favorite snack. As for food she really enjoys, that has to be her mother’s take on pizza. “toasted bread, cheese, and pepperoni…does that count as a pizza?” asks Bethel.
“I’m not that athletic” states Bethel, who has not thought about playing a sport “yet.” She does note that even though she’s non-athletic, she does enjoy playing basketball outside of school when she feels active.
One area that offers a sneak peek into Bethel comes on the special topic of dream cars. Bethel’s dream car is a Jaguar because “it looks nice.” If you want more from Bethel Gedihun check back and read what she has to say and report on in the pages of Mainstream.
