Going Vegan

Why I Made the Choice Despite How Others Handle It

“What are you going to eat?”

“Isn’t that a little extreme?”

Sometimes friends and family may not be as supportive as you’d like them to be. For those handling this issue, one fact you learn quickly is that many people do not understand there are many more vegan options than they think.

For some, going vegan can mean being the voice for animals, while for others it can be about just losing weight or for health reasons. As a vegan starter, there’s really no actual way to begin. You can either go straight to being vegan, or you can start off by taking different animal food products out of your diet each week and slowly make the transition.

The first couple of days being vegan can be very challenging but, as the days pass, your body starts to get used to the new lifestyle. Along the way, there may be obstacles like family and friends not being very accepting of your choice, or dealing with the temptations to eat meats and other animal food products.
Just remember to stay strong through the process and know that you’re not only benefitting your health, but also the health and well-being of animals.
