Now that the holidays have passed, it is time to reflect on a problem that people struggle with: What is the perfect gift to give a friend?

Not all females want Barbie dolls. Not all males want video games. That’s what comes to mind when I think of boys and girls. When we were younger, that’s what we all wanted and that’s what our parents bought us. Parents also bought us clothes, but now we’re all grown and we have our likes and dislikes.

Girls these days prefer perfume, nail polish, makeup, a necklace, a ring, and a bracelet. Clothes from the most stylish places like Forever 21 and, H&M are a hit, as are a pair of boots like Uggs, a Michael Kors bag or a Michael Kors watch. Boys these days want the latest Jordan sneakers, a Helly Hansen jacket or a jumpsuit. A PlayStation 4, games for the PlayStation 4, or clothes are all good guy gifts. If these are too expensive you can always give them money. Another option is you can give them a gift card. If you are an adult giving a friend a gift, you can give them perfume, cologne, or home products.

When a gift is given you, should appreciate and be happy you got something. If you don’t like the gift don’t say you don’t like it – just take it and say thank you.
