As little girls grow up, they are introduced to a world that includes many interesting discoveries.  One of these discoveries – makeup – stays with them long after childhood passes. Our world is one in which one’s appearance means everything and inner beauty is just a word that your mother lectures you about to make you feel better about yourself. When little girls discover the exciting things that makeup can do for them, the little girls they once were change into a young women who only care about lipstick, eye liner, and foundation.

Makeup was made for people to enhance their features and make them feel better about themselves but, when this enhancement gets to the point where the girls begin to look like a Barbie doll, it has gone too far.  When girls use too much makeup or use it poorly, they cease to enhance their features and begin changing their identities.

Makeup isn’t as easy as it looks to put on but, for it to look flawless, you must go through the steps and remember that less is always better. First, always remember to have a good moisturizer to help with dry and sensitive skin. Second, find a foundation that matches your skin tone; there is nothing worse than walking around with two different skin tones. Also, make sure the foundation is evenly rubbed in with a brush to cover all blemishes.

Now on to makeup items that are a girl’s best friend: eyeliner and lipstick. Eyeliner can be applied in many different ways and looks good, depending on the shape of your eyes. You can only liquid and pencil eyeliner; the liquid is usually used on the top, and the pencil on the bottom to make your eyes pop more. Lipstick is something that any girl can wear and make it look good; it all depends on how you wear it and the color. The color of the lipstick you wear should make you stand out, but not in a bad way. Before you put lipstick on, make sure your lips aren’t dry, which will make your lipstick crack.

Makeup isn’t for everyone and doesn’t look good on everyone. Some overdo it and some don’t do enough but, by following these easy steps, you can wear makeup that works for you and remember, when it comes to makeup, less is better.
