If you were asked, “If your life was a song title what would it be?” how would you respond?
For Paint Branch junior Andrew Reyes, the answer is “spontaneous.” Asked to elaborate, he notes that a song title for him might be “Messy.. maybe spontaneous” because as he elaborates, he discloses, “I don’t really plan ahead; I just do things.”
For each of us, this is our first time living life as we have nothing to compare our lives to. We all are just who we are. Everyone is learning new things along the way and might describe life in many different ways and for Andrew that word is spontaneous.
Andrew is excited for many upcoming things including his favorite season, which is upon us, fall. With fall also comes halloween, something that Andrew really enjoys. Something he is also looking forward to in October is a concert he will be attending by Beabadoobee. When Christmas-time rolls around and school’s winter break starts, he looks forward to spending this time with friends and family. Andrew is open to making new friends, but wouldn't describe himself as a “people person.”
Speaking of Christmas, the best gift Andrew has received during the holiday is his dog Leo, who plays an important role in his everyday life. He loves walking with his dog and boosting both of their overall moods. For Andrew, just spending quality time with his dog offers companionship.“I love my dog,” was something he said about Leo.
When life gets hard, Andrew, like all of us, finds ways to decompress. One of his favorite ways of doing this is listening to music-- as Andrew says that he “loves listening to music.” One artist he adores is Clairo; he even attended her concert and was excited to be able to see her live.
Andrew also likes to take time to himself and relax by reading books, watching movies such as Bodies Bodies Bodies and Pearl. He really enjoys talking about the movies, as they strike a big interest in him. Another way he decompresses is by simply talking with friends, as being able to talk about his ups and downs throughout his day helps him feel good. He enjoys calling his friends while washing his face, something that is important to Andrew who is big on skincare. He has many products and says that it takes some time to use them, which is why he isn’t consistent with them.
