The boys’ cross country team finished their fourth straight undefeated regular season on Tuesday, September 30th at Gaithersburg High School. The team, led by seniors Lorenzo Neil, Oliver Lloyd, and Ryun Anderson, secured its second straight Montgomery County Division III title with a perfect 5-0 record.
The girls’ cross country team won their first division meet since 2010 in early September and never looked back. Led by junior Beth Taye and freshman Yasmine Kass, the team finished with a 3-2 overall record, finishing third in the division.
“I hope this team is a dominant force for years to come, so I just want to end this year with a bang,” says Lloyd, who also has aspirations of running a sub-16:00 5k by the end of the season. The Panthers will begin their post-season quest at the MCPS Consortia Championships on Saturday, October 11th at Northwood High School.
