Born in Southeast Washington, D.C., on August 25, 1992, 22-year-old Larinzo Lambright-Williams began rapping at the age of 9. Better known by his stage name, “Lightshow,” He remembers “always having a passion for words.” It was spurred by his mother who nurtured his curious nature. In fact, she encouraged him to find the definitions of those words he didn’t know.

Listing Tupac, Jay-Z, Nas, Dip-Set and Fabolous as some of his musical inspirations, Lightshow admires the lyrical quality, long careers, and brand building that they established. Having built a solid fan base following the release of his six mix tapes, Everything Real Live, Life Sentence, Get Well Soon, Life Sentence 2, Yellow Tape and White Chalk 3, Yellow Tape and White Chalk 4. Lightshow describes his fans as “the most important people” when it comes to his progress as an artist. Lightshow has performed alongside other mainstream D.C. rappers including Wale and has been the opening act for well-known rap artists 2Chainz and Nipsey Hussle.

He has performed at the A3C Hip-Hop Festival, 2014 Black Entertainment Television Experience and the 2014 Trillectro Music Festival and recently signed a deal with All-In Entertainment. His highly anticipated mix tape “The Way I See It” is scheduled to drop December 19 and will set the DMV on fire with his lyricism and context.
