Feel the Heat?

In August, LeBron James made one of the most devastating and exciting decisions of his career. After playing for the Miami Heat for four years with two championships, he decided to leave his new fan base, like he had done before, to join his old team, the Cleveland Cavilers. Despite what others thought, Lebron previously said, “Hopefully I can finish my career . . . if it’s in Cleveland, if I make it to Cleveland, I want to win a championship here.” He wants to spend the rest of his career with the team that drafted him.

Leaving the Heat could be a good step for LeBron’s career. In the finals this year, Lebron worked and played as if his teammates weren’t helping him at all. He carried his team, which looked like a team with problems. His decision to leave the Cavaliers back in 2010 was also shocking and controversial. He looked to have lost faith in the Cavaliers and left knowing he was the only hope for Cavs and the fans in Cleveland. LeBron James seems more mature than he was in 2010 and by going back home to Cleveland and his hometown fans, he’s taken a huge step up for his career overall.
