On October 10, 2013, the Paint Branch Varsity Volleyball Team defeated the Kennedy Cavaliers in a high-spirited match-up, winning 3 games to 1. The scores were 22-25, 25-22, 25-22, and 25-19. The Panthers were playing their “Dig Pink” event in which the players wore pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Kennedy played a good match and, despite the Panthers not having junior setter/middle hitter Lori Maszkiewitz, who is still out with an injury, the Panthers still got the job done, improving to 7-6 on the season, while the Cavaliers remained winless, falling to 0-10.

Senior middle hitter Malaika Butler literally killed ‘em on the night as she finished with 7 kills and a block. Junior Kaiylyn French was flush for aces with a total of 7 on the night, as well as a pair of kills and a block on the day.  Sophomore middle hitter Alexis Anderson had 3 kills to go along with 6 blocks as well.  It was a jackpot day for the Panther volleyball team, who look to build in this win on their next match on October 14th at Northwood.
