Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is the second movie adaptation of the original survival horror game created by Scott Cawthon. The movie is about Mike Schmidt and his sister Abby trying to move on with their lives after the past incidents of the first movie.
The game Five Nights at Freddy’s is where a player must defend themselves against aggressive animatronics using a flashlight, music box, cameras and a Freddy mask. When the game begins, the player sees an office with a large dark hallway entrance and a fan and vents on the left and right side of the walls.
The game involves having a singular player work as a security guard and visit a pizzeria. It’s designed for children where they must survive until 6am against aggressive animatronics using tools to defend themselves. The restaurant stars four animatronics named Freddy, Chica, Foxy and Bonnie. The animatronics are re-branded as newer versions called Toys in this second version featuring Toy Chica, Toy Foxy, Toy Freddy, Toy Bonnie and another animatronic called The Puppet. In the game, Puppet was originally created to protect Charlotte Emily while her father, Henry, was working. This all hinges on the fact that Henry didn’t know that William is a bad person, and that he is the reason why everything happened as the one who attacked Charlotte.
The second movie in the Five Nights at Freddy’s story arc begins with young Charlotte being suspicious of the pizzeria. She’s visibly nervous and young Vanessa reassures her to come celebrate with the rest of the kids, but Charlotte notices Willam bringing a kid to the back. She quickly gets up and pleads to the parents for help but they refuse and she runs to the back to rescue the kid. She does not survive but she does successfully rescue the kid. She initially escapes too but when she escapes she lands on the latch on the stage where The Puppet performs, the latch opens, and she falls in. The Puppet rises and has Charlotte in its arms. Her spirit ends up possessing The Puppet, which foreshadows The Puppet as the major antagonist in the movie.
