Activity Fair Displays What PB Has to Offer

The music pounded through the halls as swarms of kids rushed back and forth going table-to-table in the frenzy that surrounded lunchtime. They came to see it all and visit club after club, organization after organization. “How many did you sign up for?” echoed in the halls.
The answer, of course, varied as some jumped in with both feet, while others treaded more lightly, and a few took no leap at all.
The annual SGA Activities Fair took place on September 16 during lunch near the grand staircase. Whether one signed up for every club or didn’t even know where to start, there was something of interest for everyone.
Ninth graders looking to ease the somewhat difficult transition to high school are advised to get involved by joining sports and clubs. Though many are reluctant to put themselves out there, others are ahead of the game. Freshman Amy Chang said, “I signed up for Psych Club because I heard it’s fun, and I want to learn more about the brain.”
Those who sought academic groups heard their calling in Debate, Forensics, Mock Trial, or It’s Academic and joined accordingly. For those who preferred a community-service vibe, Key Club and Operation Smile were glad to step in.
