The car event focused on judging cars based on design, style, and elegance, which attracted wealthy audiences. The rise in popularity of car events and shows has coincided with an increase in car ownership, as more people became more interested in car culture and the development and modification of vehicles.
From there, car meets continued to grow and gained significant popularity in the United States in the 1950s and 1960s as cars became more common. Even though these cars were very expensive and most people couldn’t afford them, these cars fascinated people with their luxurious and high-end models. Seeing these types of cars at shows or meets inspired many enthusiasts to dream about owning or building their own unique cars.

Today, enthusiasts often use social media platforms such as Instagram or TikTok to share their cars or organize meetups with others. These gatherings attract many types of vehicles, from vintage classics to heavily modified street builds and luxury sports cars. It is common to see high-end brands like Ferrari, Porsche, and Lamborghini parked next to customized cars with lowered suspensions, unique paint jobs, and performance upgrades. Unlike traditional car shows, which are organized events where cars are judged and awards are given, car meets are more casual and community-based. People attend car shows to talk about cars, share ideas, and appreciate different builds rather than compete for trophies. Car meets are not just about showing off cars, but are about bringing people together who share the same passion for the automotive culture.
